Like the post from before (on me joining Twitter) I find this social network thingy quite interesting. Apart from the ‘social networking’ whores who just spam you with crap, many people share really cool (new) music with you. From other artists or themselves. Well below is just a selection of music I discovered through Twitter tips, from this past month, in random order.

Another visual piece that, to me, is very inspirational and just plain really cool to watch. It is from Richard Lainhart. The colors are just amazing and the way he created it is very cool. I am kinda … jealous.
Description: “An abstract HD film animated in After Effects. The soundtrack, “The Beautiful Blue Sky”, is a realtime electronic synthesizer improvisation for Buchla 200e and Haken Continuum.”

Processing is a mathematical way of generating art. Well kinda. According to the Processing website it is: “… an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. It is used by students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production. It is created to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context and to serve as a software sketchbook and professional production tool. Processing is developed by artists and designers as an alternative to proprietary software tools in the same domain.”
One of the, in my opinion, best artists/programmers is Robert Hodgin. He creates amazing and just plain wonderful projects with processing. It would be too confusing if I would try to explain processing to you. Just check out the blog of Robert (flight404) and see for yourself what processing can do.
The video below is Robert’s latest work. It is amazing. I LOVE IT!
